I hope you’re all rested from last week (I was on vaca! Sorry! I got a bunch of messages angry we didn’t do a Finchel Friday, and I hope everyone will channel that into this week’s FF). Plans below. Please participate this week loudly and actively since it’s the last week of the hiatus and because they’re filming the midseason finale, which is going to conclude this first half’s arcs and set up the next. It’s a good time to be loud and the effect we’ve already had with these weekly Finchel Twitter love fests is obvious, so please join in and be active this week :)
We’re going to hit Twitter at the usual time (1:00 pm central time, 2:00 pm eastern time, 4:00 pm in Brazil, 11:00 am pacific time, 6:00 pm in London, 5 am-ish in Australia depending on what region you’re in. If you need help finding out what time that would be for you, use World Clock. 1:00 pm is Chicago time / Central time. If you can’t Tweet, please set up Twuffer to Tweet for you). If you can’t Tweet at 1:00 CST and you can’t set up Twuffer, Tweet as much as you can when you can after our Tweet wave and you can retweet the old Tweets back up, too. We need to make as much noise for as prolonged of a period as possible and we need to try to catch the attention of anyone who’s on Twitter at any given time.
Who to Tweet
Everyone and anyone. Lea (@msleamichele)/Cory (@corymonteith)/Ryan (@mrrpmurphy)/Brad (@bfalchuk)/Dante (@GLEETV). We should be hitting up @GLEEonFOX and @20centuryfoxTV (the network), @hitchmichael and @mhodgson207 (two of the other writers), @KalanaFalana (the BTS editor) and @KristinDSantos and @MichaelAusiello (the two entertainment reporters with the most cast access), as well. Lets also Tweet Adam Shankman, who’s directing the Xmas ep (@adammshankman) since he’s been Twitter active lately.
What to Tweet
The consensus on Twitter yesterday was that we should use Finchel Friday as our catchphrase this week. You need to Tweet it exactly this way — Finchel Friday — with both f’s capitalized for it to Trend. One of our problems has been that many of us tend to only use lowercase. That affects if and how something trends. It need to be exact. Finchel Friday. Just like that. Wish everyone a happy Finchel Friday. Explain why we do Finchel Friday. Celebrate Finchel Friday. Whatever you want. Just Tweet it. A lot. And if we don’t trend, that’s cool — at least we’ve filled a lot of feeds with a lot of Finchel love. And if we can trend? Our current record is under six minutes. I wonder if we could trend WW in under five?
Please reblog and get the word out for this week’s plans, even if you can’t participate :) It’s an all hands on deck week, and we need all the help we can get!
